Oprah and Employee Engagement

  1. "The force we lack isn't ability or talent by simply the confidence to swagger our way into things."
  2. "There is a magic in letting go. Every time I become less a spectator and more engaged, [I improve.]"
  3. "Wisdom at times is found in folly." - Horace, Greek poet, 65 BC - 8 BC

Three quotes, all from the July 2007 issue of Oprah magazine, that immediately made me think of employee engagement.

As a change agent, it is imperative to inspire and help your employees see the value in - and reduce their fear of failure in - changing. Then, you'll have a better chance of engaging them.

And I love the last quote which shouts to me 'what the heck, why not have fun along the way!?'

Happy changing and engaging.
